Renault is teasing a future racing car, set to be fully unveiled in August. The car is developed by Renault sport division and is set to be racing in World Series by Renault competition, ready to accommodate a new category starting 2015.
The car will feature a carbon monocoque built by Dalara and a completely new engine, developed by Nismo and ready to offer over 500 hp. Most probably, the engine will be based on the current V6 unit found on the Nissan GT-R. Sadev will source the 7 speed automatic gearbox, while Michelin will have to develop some special tires to fit on the performance car.
All components will have to be very light so that will ensure a total weight of just 1100 kilograms or 2435 pounds. Renault already started intense program of development and tests for the sports car, so to be ready until next year.
The official debut will take place during this year Moscow International Motor Show.
