Even if it was launched only in 2012, Toyota GT-86 continues to improve itself with performance in its mind. The rear-wheel drive coupe developed together with Subaru will be enhanced for the 2015 version. This means new aesthetics and mecanic upgrades.
The list of improvements starts from outside, where the car comes with a new pearl-white and a new silver paint finish. The designers also replaced the classic antenna with a shark-fin one, used to improve both look and aerodynamics.
Inside the car, the 2015 Toyota GT-86 comes with a carbon-fibre motif dashboard insert to suggest a more premium appearance.
Under the body, Toyota`s engineers developed a mor rigid suspension. The front connections and the rear shock absorbers have a more rigid fixation. These modifications allow a more stable damping and improved friction control, delivering communicative handling. Body-roll is reduced, and the steering feel is sharper.
On the ocassion, Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada said: “There is no reason that development should stop, only because the vehicle has gone on sale. GT86 is all about driver involvement, and we are committed to keep enhancing this aspect of the car. The 2015 Model Year delivers the latest status of GT86’s continuous evolution.”
