Volvo V40 Crosss County will be available with an all wheel drive system, installed on the new Drive-E petrol T5 unit.
The turbo engine, developed completely by Volvo was offered earlier this year and now can be ordered together with an all wheel drive system, enhancing the compact crossover some off-road abilities.
The 245 hp and 350 Nm engine can be mated to an eight speed automatic transmission that can improve the fuel efficiency and can be had with some optional paddles behind the wheel.
The new engine is more efficient than the previous T5 unit, offering no less than 149 g/km, a really impressive rate when compared to rivals like the Audi Q3 and BMW X1.
Prices are still a mystery, but the UK clients will be able to order the new V40 Cross Country along the new all wheel drive system starting with January 2015.
