Peugeot unveiled today the all new 208 GTI 30th Anniversary. The car, set to make the public debut during Goodwood Festival of Speed, celebrates three decades since the launch of the legendary 205 GTI.
To mark the special ocassion 208 GTi 30th comes with a suspension lowered by 10mm and a track widened by 22mm at the front and 16mm at the rear. Also matt black are the side skirts and wheel arch extensions that cover new 18 inch wheels finished with matt black rims. The exterior has two colors: the front is finished in a textured black, contrasting with the red at the rear.
The new hot-hatch uses the same 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, developing 8 hp and 25 Nm more than the standard version. This means a total of 208 hp and 300 Nm, enough to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.5 seconds. The car can also reach from 0 to 1000 m in 26.5 seconds.
To stop the car, Peugeot is using 323mm diameter discs at the front and Brembo fixed four-piston calipers.
