Peugeot will be joining this year Goodwood Festival of Speed with a special edition 208 GTI.
Called Peugeot 208 GTI 30th Anniversary, the model will take its place in the Goodwood line-up, and will make the official debut during Supercar and First Glimpse class of event. The car will also revv its engine during al weekend Hillclimb sessions.
To prepare the official debut, Peugeot also unveiled a teaser of the car, showing only the grille of the 208 GTI 30th Anniversary. Tis is enough for us to see that the special edition will feature the British flag under its grille. As last year Peugeot RCZ R, the new 208 GTI 30th Anniversary might feature some extra power under the hood.
Currently, the standard version uses a 1.6 liter turbo engine, delivering 200 hp and 275 Nm. It is enough for a 0 to 62 mph sprint in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 140 mph. We expect that the 30th Anniversary Edition to improve on this marks.
