Lamborghini has unveiled the new Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo during this year Quail Motorsports Gathering. The new track-exclusive supercar was designed following FIA`s GT3 specifications and has a different body-kit.
It includes a new front splitter, canards, ventilated front fenders to better cool the brakes, a big rear wing, carbon fiber diffuser at the back with centrally mounted exhaust system and new side skirts.
Besides this visual and aerodynamic changes, the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo also offers an important loss of weight: aprox. 150 kilograms. It is enough to ensure a total weight of only 1271 kg, extremely light for a supercar.
These changes comes together with a tuned 5.2 liter V10 engine, capable of developing now 620 hp. It is not much, only 20 hp over the standard configuration, but will help along the reduced weight for a power to weight ratio of 4.5 lbs./hp. The power will be sent to the rear wheels only, not to both axles as on the standard version.
The new 2015 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo will compete in Blancpain Super Trofeo series but it will not compete in the same class as its predecessor, the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo.
