Volvo unveiled today the complete engine lineup of the future 2015 XC90 SUV, expected to show its production-ready face next month.
Scheduled to make a public debut during this year Paris Motor Show, in October, the 2015 Volvo XC90 will feature four conventional engines, two diesels and two petrols.
2015 Volvo XC90 D4 and D5
Those who are looking for efficiency can find a D5 twin turbodiesel, that delivers 225 hp and 470 Nm with an average fuel consumption of just 6 liter/100 km. The more efficient version will be the D4 with an average fuel consumption of 5 liter/100 km, even if it delivers 190 hp and 400 Nm.
2015 Volvo XC90 T5 and T6
The petrol options will include the T6 turbocharged unit, with 320 hp and 400 Nm, together with a T5 turbo engine, capable of 254 hp and 350 Nm.
2015 Volvo XC90 T8
Built on the Scalable Product Architecture, the 2015 Volvo XC90 will also allow the introduction of a hybrid version, a first for the Scandinavian SUV. The combined petrol and electric engine will be found on the T8 version, delivering a total of 400 hp and 670 Nm.
Even so, the emission rating for the first 100 km will be just 60 g/km. The petrol unit and the electric one will offer a pure electric range of 40 km, rechargable at any house hold.
