2015 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack unveiled

2015 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack was officially unveiled, ahead of its Paris Motor Show debut. The car, positioned between the Golf Estate and the current Tiguan, is the second Alltrack model in VW range after the Passat Alltrack, currently on sale.

Based on the Golf Estate model, the new Golf Alltrack features 20 mm additional ground clearance, redesigned front bumper and a rugged appearance thanks to underbody protections, painted in reflex Silver. The car comes equipped with 17 inch alloy wheels, roof trail, dark red taillights and painted door mirror caps.

The interior features ambient lighting, leather steering wheel and special Alltrack upholstery for the seats, with Alltrack logo embroided on the front seats.

The engine range consists of a 1.8 liter petrol unit and three diesels. The four cylinders gasoline delivers 180 hp and 280 Nm for a 0 to 62 mph sprint in just 7.8 seconds. Fuel consumption averages 41.5 mpg.

The entry-level diesel is the 1.6 TDI with 110 hp and a more efficient approach, offering 57.6 mpg and 127 g/km emissions. This unit is topped by the 2.0 TDI, offered in two different versions. The 150 hp unit has a top speed of 128 mph and accelerates to 62 mph in 8.9 seconds.

The more powerful 184 hp unit has 380 Nm of torque and can be used to trail loads of up to 2,000 kg. It is the same engine used on the Golf GTD.
