Land Rover has finally revealed the 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR, the fastest SUV on Nurburgring with a total time of 8 minutes and 14 seconds.
The performance SUV, first introduced as a camouflaged prototype during this uear Goodwood Festival of Speed will make a public appearance during 2014 Paris Motor Show, in October.
The new model comes with the same 5.0 liter V8 engine, found on the Supercharged version. On the SVR though, the total amount of power delivered to both axles, through a eight-speed automatic gearbox is 550 hp. The engine also delivers a total of 680 Nm of torque, a 55 Nm improvement over the Supercharged version.
The resources are able to offer a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h.
To cope with that power, the SUV receives a Torque Vectoring System, recalibrated Dynamic Active Rear Locking Differential, center differential, Brembo brakes, Active-Roll Control system and a reprogrammed Adaptive Dynamics system.
