2015 Hyundai i20 was officially revealed today, ahead of its global introduction during this year Paris Motor Show.
Based on a completely new platform, the car measures 4033 mm long and an improved wheelbase of 2570 mm. This is 45 mm more than in the old model and helps the small car offer one of the most spacious cabins in the segment.
According to Hyundai, the front and rear legroom is 1892 mm, which is also best in class. The trunk is also big, almost close to a compact car offering. It has 320 liters with the seats in upright position.
Among the most important features of the new generation i20, Hyundai notes the standard air con, the panoramic roof able to both tilt and fully open, the rear-view camera, the LED lighting and taillights.
The 2015 Hyundai i20 was designed by an European team to appeal to European customers. The lines of the car were created in Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre Europe in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and include a chrome-framed hexagonal grille, sculptured body panels, and a waistline moulding at the base of the door. At the rear we have a black C pillar used to offer the impression of a floating roofline.
