2015 Hyundai i20 was officially unveiled today in its European Version. A full photo gallery and a complete press release unveils all we have to know about the Koreean small car.
Designed and developed in Europe the new model’s character is inspired by the company’s Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy, with hexagonal grille flowing into stylish bi-function headlamps with LED daytime running lights.
The interior becomes more spacious, as the wheelbase has been extended by 45 millimetres to 2570 mm. This means 1892 mm combined front and rear legroom and 326 litres boot capacity. The interior features softer materials and an inovative Thermal Plastic Olefin (TPO) material that is highly durable.
The standard equipment will include automatic folding door mirrors, front and rear parking assist and an integrated seven-inch satellite navigation system with USB and auxiliary connectivity. The options list will include an automatic defog system, lane departure warning system and panoramic sunroof, able to both tilt and fully open. The 2015 Hyundai i20 will be available in four trim levels: Access, Comfort, Panorama and LED.
2015 Hyundai i20 engine range
The engine range will include two power versions of the 1.25 liter Kappa gasoline unit, that will deliver 75 or 84 hp. Both versions are mated to a five speed manual transmission. The most powerful petrol will be a 1.4 liter unit, with 100 hp and 134 Nm at 3500 rpm.
Those who want a diesel can have the two different engines, both equipped with a six speed manual.One is the 1.1 liter 75 hp engine, and second is the 1.4 liter 90 hp top of the range, also delivering 200 Nm.
