After a huge success on almost every market it was introduced, the current BMW X6 gets retired, only to leave room for the 2015 BMW X6, officially unveiled ahead of its public debut during Paris Motor Show in autumn.
The new generation borrows the styling cues of the current X5, but addopts a more sportier profile, with coupe elongated lines. The new generation comes with 19 inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, bulky hood, larger wheelarches.
Inside the cabin we find almost the same cabin of the X5with Dakota leather seats, iDrive infotainment system with up to a 10.25-inch display, a dual zone climate control system, center console-mounted knee pads and a luggage compartment that can hold to 1,525 liters (53.8 cubic feet) of cargo.
2015 BMW X6 xDrive50i
Only three engines will be available on launch. The top of the range X6 xDrive50i will produce 450 hp out of the classical 4.4 liter V8. It will ensure a 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
2015 BMW X6 xDrive30d
The diesel fans will get the chance of driving the xDrive30d version, delivering 258 hp and 560 Nm, ready to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds, while reaching a top speed of 230 km/h.
2015 BMW X6 xDrive50d
The M50d will also be present at the start, with its tri-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine that develops 381 PS (280 kW) and 740 Nm (545 lb-ft) of torque. It is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and a 250 km/h top speed.
The new 2015 BMW X6 will reach showrooms this winter, followed by new version in the spring of 2015.
