Peugeot Exalt Concept will make its European debut during this year Paris Motor Show. Unveiled for the first time this spring, during Beijing Motor Show, the four door concept anticipates a sporty sedan with appealing design and premium character.
To be sure that the new car stands out, Peugeot made the Exalt from pure steel, combined with a Shark Skin rear end. This textile improves the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle and reduces fuel consumption. It also helps achieving an impressive aerodynamic coefficient along the air extractor in the rear bumper, the curve of the roof and the profiled mirrors.
The interior fetures a Newspaper Wood finish, created by using pages of important newspapers. The recycled component is highly attractive through its shape and its feeling. It is the evolution of the wood Peugeot used on the Onyx concept in 2012 Paris Motor Show.
The 1700 kilograms Exalt features a hybrid architecture with a 270 hp 1.6 liter turbocharged petrol and an electric motor. The same gasoline unit was also used on the Peugeot RCZ-R. The hybrid manages to offer 340 hp, transmited to all four wheels through a 6 speed auto transmission.
