Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept S was anticipated today through a set of teaser images. The introduction comes two years since the Outlander PHEV was introduced during same Paris Motor Show.
The Concept S is regarded as an updated version of the current plug-in hybrid SUV. It features important changes on the outside and also on the inside.
Under the bonnet we expect to see the same hybrid architecture, with a four cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged unit and two electric motors. Together they offer 200 hp and 337 Nm, enough for a 62 mph acceleration time of 11 seconds and a top speed of 170 km/h.
With the energy stored in a 12 kWh lithium-ion battery, the car can travel 55 kilometers with no emissions. In the hybrid mode, Outlander PHEV can reach a total range of 800 kilometers.
Official photos and informations on the new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Concept S will be unveiled on October 2nd, during first press day of Paris Motor Show.
