Hyundai is attending this year Busan Motor Show in South Korea and has a surprise for its fans. The asian manufacturer unveiled the new Veloster Midship Concept, a prototype created to explore the capabilities of current Veloster chassis.
As its name suggests, the concept is a mid engine sports car, using a completely different architecture than the standard car. The Veloster Midship uses a turbocharged petrol engine, positioned behind the rear seats within the wheelbase. This will provide a better weight distribution and also improved handling.
The 2.0 liter Theta GDI engine delivers 300 hp. This amount of resources is contained through a lighter aluminum suspension as well as a strengthened chassis.
Described as a mini supercar, the Veloster Midship Concept was developed by the same team that engineered the i20 WRC.
