2014 Honda Civic Type R Concept will make its public debut during this year Paris Motor Show. As its name suggests it is not the production version of the long-awaited hot-hatch. The Japanese manufacturer introduced another concept, this time designed with the face of the new 2016 Civic facelift.
Billed as “the most extreme and high-performing Type R in the 22 year history of the red ‘H’ badge”, the new Civic Type R Concept paves the way for the new model with a 2.0-litre i-VTEC engine (Earth Dreams Technology equipped), that can offer more than 280 hp. Even so, the engine complies with Euro 6 standards.
The new model will also introduce the +R button, that increases the engine response and the torque mapping for more resources. The steering will also become more ressponsive and, together with the new four-point Adaptive Damper System, delivers the a great handling experience.
Future Honda Civic Type R was created especially for European customers, with production scheduled to take part inside honda`s Swindon UK plant. First deliveries are expected during 2015.
