After Claudia Schiffer became the brand ambassador for Opel at the begining of this year, another star associate its image with a car marque. David Beckham, the famous British football player has joined Jaguar as a brand ambassador and will support its product lauches in China. Currently, China is the biggest auto market in the world and the country were Beckham is seen as an idol. The football player will feature in above-the-line marketing campaigns for the British brand.
As part of a long-term partnership, former international footballer Beckham will star in a series of print adverts and TV commercials exclusively in China.
During the Asian campaign, David Beckham will feature alongthe new Jaguar F-Type Coupe, a car already very popular in its segment. His role will develop and will see him feature in many Jaguar brand and product communication campaigns in the coming years, including those for the Jaguar XJ, the company’s large luxury saloon.
The print campaign will appear in magazines and on billboards across China, with a TV advertising campaign appearing later in the year.
